I wanted to capture the original essence of the Grimm’s Fairytales sinister storylines, by creating an iconic cover for ‘Little Red Ridinghood’ (aka, Little Red Cap).
By using realistic colours for the wolf and contrasting it against the bright red for Ridinghood, I have not only been able to create a focal point and haunting image, but through layering the cover I’ve also applied the concept of the wolf following Red and the reader through to the title.
